J&K Statehood: Congress Leaders Call on PM Modi for Action in Monsoon Session

Senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge have formally requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to prioritize the restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. The Congress leaders emphasized the prolonged absence of a democratically elected government in the region, highlighting what they termed a “democratic deficit.” They argued that restoring statehood is crucial for addressing the needs and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
